James Christian Kimmel (Jimmy Kimmel) is an actor, producer, and best known for Jimmy Kimmel Live!. He is the most prominent host and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live! He co-hosted Kimmel Comedy Central in 2016.

He also co-hosted The Man Show (2003) and Win Ben Stein's Money (1997) TV series. Kimmel's uncle, Frank Potenza, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as a regular from 2003 to 2011.

Kimmel was born on 13^th November, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Mill Basin. He grew up in a Catholic family, his father's name is John Kimmel, and his mother's name is Joann Iacono. He has two other siblings named Jonathan Kimmel, and Jill Kimmel. When Kimmel was 9, they moved to Las Vegas.

Before joining UNLV, he graduated from Ed W. Clark High School and attended UNLV for one year. He then transferred to Arizona State University. Kimmel received an honorary degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 2013.
